The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police questioned Bollywood actors Nora Fatehi and Pinky Irani for more than four hours on Thursday about the 200 crore money laundering case involving imprisoned conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi met con artist Sukesh Chandrashekhar through Pinky Irani.

In her testimony before the EOW, Nora Fatehi asserted that she was a “victim of the conspiracy and not a conspirator.” She also gave the police screenshots of her conversations with Sukesh.

Nora was questioned by Delhi Police, who inquired as to who had invited her to the Tamil Nadu charity event.

In response, Nora adopted the alias Afsar Zaidi. She asserted that Mr. Zaidi is also the promoter of an event planned by Super Car Artistry through Exceed Entertainment Private Limited.

When questioned about who covered her travel and other costs, she gave the name Leena Paul and asserted that she is the owner of Nail Artistry, to the “best of her knowledge.”

When questioned about the gathering, Nora described it as a “charity” event. In December 2020, the event took place at a 5 Star Banquet.

It was scheduled through her agency Exceed Entertainment Private Limited, and LS Corporation and Nail Artistry handled the planning.

The police also informed Nora of Sukesh’s claim that she insisted on a BMW 5 Series car to attend the event. Nora refuted this claim, saying that the car was given to her as a “token of love and generosity.”

When Nora was questioned further about her response to the BMW offer, she stated that she had already purchased a BMW and therefore declined the offer.

She was also questioned whether she had spoken to Leena and Pinky while they were present and whether they had given her anything.

Leena met Nora at an event and gave her an iPhone and a Gucci purse, she told Delhi Police in response.

In addition, she said that Leena put her call through to her husband, who Leena claimed was a great Nora admirer.

But, according to Nora, it was only at this point that she learned she would be receiving a BMW.

After this, according to Nora, Shekhar alias Sukesh called her, and she provided him with her cousin Bobby’s husband’s phone for any further business.

When questioned when she first became suspicious of Sukesh, Nora said that she first became aware of his true intentions when she began getting frequent calls and messages from him and when he began enticing her with presents. As a result, she severed all ties with Sukesh and his managers.

Jacqueline Fernandez also appeared before the EOW earlier on Wednesday when she was questioned while being placed in front of Pinky Irani.

According to reports, during the Wednesday interview by the Delhi Police, Jacqueline and Pinki Irani got into a verbal duel.

Nora Fatehi was interrogated by the EOW authorities more than nine hours earlier on September 2 and was given over 50 questions.

According to police authorities, inquiries have shown that Nora and Jacqueline Fernandez, who have also been connected to Sukesh Chandrashekhar, were unaware of one another’s receipt of presents.

Sources claim that Sukesh first attempted to fool just Nora, but after failing in that endeavor, he turned his attention to Jacqueline.

Sukesh allegedly used to utilize pricey presents to entice Jacqueline and those close to her.

In addition to reserving a hotel room in Kochi for Jacqueline’s birthday celebration, he gave her hairdresser an iPhone.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar is accused of operating an extortion ring worth Rs. 200 crores from Aditi Singh, the jailed wife of imprisoned former Ranbaxy owner Shivinder Singh, under the guise of officials from the Union Law Ministry and the PMO to get her husband released on bail. At the same time, he was being held in Rohini jail.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar, a resident of Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka, is now detained in prison in Delhi and is charged in more than 10 criminal cases.
