People Advised to Be Careful to Stop Spreading Covid: Delhi Health Minister. 

New Delhi: Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain informed that the spread of COVID-19 is speeding up, and people should be on guard.

He also said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tested positive for COVID-19, is suffering mild symptoms.

“Today, Arvind Kejriwal has been found positive. Symptoms are mild. He is in isolation right now, and he has appealed to people who have come in contact with him to must go for tests,” Mr. Jain said to ANI.

“All the protocols are being followed, and he is in isolation with great care. However, COVID-19 is spreading faster and people need to be cautious. 

If people wear masks always, then they can save themselves,” said the doctor. 

In response to questions concerning the meeting held today by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on the COVID-19 crisis in the capital city. 

The minister replied, ” We will let you know about the decisions that would be taken in the meeting.”

Concerning the increasing Omicron cases in the nation’s capital, he told the media, “yesterday I told that 84 percent of Delhi’s total COVID-19 cases were of the Omicron variant of coronavirus”.

Delhi has witnessed an increase in COVID-19 cases during the last two weeks since discovering the Omicron variant.

The city has reported 4,099 cases of COVID-19 that were newly reported in the past 24 hours. 

It brought the positive level in Delhi’s capital to 6.46 percent, the Delhi health department’s bulletin said on Monday.

The active cases of the town have increased up to 10,986, while the total count of COVID-19-related cases is now 14,58,220.

Within the last 24-hour period, Delhi also witnessed one COVID-related death, bringing the death toll to 25,100.
