The US The President of the United States, Joe Biden, was caught on live radio on Monday
commenting on the Fox News journalist a “stupid son of a bitch” in the background of the
White House photo op.
While journalists left the venue after the occasion, the reporter on Fox News, the favorite
channel for conservatives, inquired whether inflation was a political risk.
The Democratic leader, who was possibly not realizing that his microphone was on, started
by saying: “It’s a great asset. More inflation.”
Then he muttered, “What a stupid son of a bitch,” before looking at the ground.
A reporter from the pool who was present at the time confessed that he was unable to be
able to hear the exact words Biden spoke over the background noise.
However, he also stated that the president would “direct your attention to a video of the
event if you are curious how the president feels about being asked about inflation from
Fox’s Peter Doocy.”
Doocy took the insult in stride in an interview later on Fox.
“Yeah, nobody has fact-checked him yet and said it’s not true,” He stated without
hesitation.
Doocy later claimed that Biden phoned him within the hour and said: “It’s nothing personal,
pal.”
If Biden has made mistakes, the White House has rushed to clarify or retract his remarks.
However, this time, the White House appeared to have no reservations about claiming it by
releasing a transcription of the speech that contained the remarks — thus making sure that
it was recorded in the official record of history.
“Just adds a certain something,” tweeted Katie Rogers, White House reporter of The New
York Times, with an image from the transcription.
