2 Arrested on Robbery Charges In Madhya Pradesh: 1 of them Tests Covid Positive
Two people were arrested on robbery charges in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur by the Government Railway Police (GRP) on Monday and allegedly forced to walk together barefoot even after one of them tested positive for COVID-19.
The defendants were forced to walk barefoot down the street while GRP personnel were seen wearing a personal protective suit.
“The court ordered the defendant to be tested for COVID. We are tested for COVID at Jabalpur District Hospital. One of the defendants tested positive for COVID-19. Our vehicle broke down, so we had to take them to jail, “a GRP official told ANI.
When asked why an ambulance was not called, the official said: “It was a shame that our vehicle broke down. But organizing an ambulance is under the authority of senior GRP officials.”
