Early Tuesday, following her sudden departure and then she went missing the night prior.
Police received a tip around seven a.m. Tuesday and went to the home at Summit Avenue in Mount Vernon in the morning. Then they discovered Alexandria Castano’s body dead, according to News 12 Bronx.
Alexandria Castano left her home quickly on Monday evening.
The woman’s mother, Lucia Castano, told the source that the daughter had left abruptly in the evening before her departure while they were making dinner.
A half-hour later, she informed the station that Alexandria had sent her a message saying she was coming to return. Still, she didn’t turn on time and didn’t return her phone.
Alexandria’s sister has said she would like answers to the mystery surrounding the death of her sister.
“She just kept saying, ‘Someone killed my daughter!'” Cristina Benitez told News 12 about her mother. “Someone committed a crime against her, and I’m sure of that.
I’m just curious to know what happened to my sister.” The Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
