A malfunction in Cyberpunk 2077

A malfunction in Cyberpunk 2077 : CD Projekt Red has just released a new console upgrade for the game and a big new update with it. Update 1.5 didn’t add a lot of unique content, but it made significant changes to some of Cyberpunk 2077’s passive, For example, crowd.

Crowd movement and A.I. that drives intelligence were changed, for example. One Cyberpunk 2077 player recently discovered that making significant changes to complex systems isn’t always easy.

First my wife, then my car!!? When they were working on a mission in Cyberpunk 2077, a player showed off an event that was completely random and silly.

It’s a relatively simple set-up. Drive across Night City to pick someone up. Because they’re on foot, they start by calling their car to them. That’s when things take a surprise turn.

The player should be able to get into the car and drive away. Speedy 911 II (930) Turbo gets close to the player and seems to think they don’t like what they see.

When the car turns back and forth, it looks like it’s shaking its head to say “no.” Then, it turns 180° and drives away. Again, the car that was supposed to stop and pick up the player doesn’t seem to do so.

The car doesn’t just drive away to make things even more embarrassing. It goes away slowly. I think the player can catch it if they run as fast as possible. It’s just slow enough that it looks like that. But the car moves just quickly enough to keep up with the player.

If you live in a cyberpunk world where electronic cars can hack, it might seem like this is a movie script. Cyberpunk 2077 is more to blame for this, but really, it’s more about the game.

That’s what it looks like is going on. Automated car driving technology is having problems. Players aren’t a target for this car. Instead, it thinks of them as objects it wants to avoid and get away from.

In Patch 1.5, vehicles now act in a way that avoids crashing into people and the player. We wouldn’t know for sure if the new driving technology didn’t get enough testing to work with other automated driving systems.

The problem doesn’t seem to be widespread, no matter the reason for having it. It’s not even clear if this problem came with the new patch, 1.5, or not.

It’s not even that big of a problem that needs to fix. It could just be one of those funny things about the game that isn’t very important. I like that Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have bugs like in open-world games like this one.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It can also play on Xbox One.
