A Pokemon fan created a Scarlet and Violet Starter: It doesn’t matter if some people are still playing Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Game Freak has already shown off its next Pokemon game, called Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Even though the game was just announced, excited fans have learned a lot about what to expect from it. Players were able to see some of the designs for the starter Pokemon that will release this year.
Three new starter Pokemon shows in the trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. They were the first to shown in the Gen 9 Pokedex. Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quality are three of them. These Pokemon aren’t very well known.
Sprigatito is a Grass-type Pokemon, Fuecoco is a Fire-type Pokemon, and Quality is a Water-type Pokemon. Recently, a gamer made a piece of art to celebrate the launch of these new starters.
ZanorinSeregris shared a picture of a Japanese ink painting they made based on the Pokemon series in a post on Reddit. They painted the starter Pokemon from the upcoming games, Scarlet and Violet. The artist used this beautiful art style to make the starters look more realistic.

During the painting, the artist focused on the animals each Pokemon was based on and made them stand out. For example, Sprigatito looked more like a cat, Fuecoco looked more like a genuine crocodile, and Quaxly looked like a real duck.
Besides showing this painting based on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, ZanorinSeregris gave some information about its making. In the artist’s Japanese ink painting, the first step was to start with the lines.
People then used watercolor to add color to their picture after they done with the first step. The artist also talked about how the project went, saying that painting in this style was “very therapeutic/relaxing.”
This beautiful painting of the Pokemon starters from Scarlet and Violet caught the attention of many people in the Pokemon community on Reddit. When the new starter designs release, they got more than 15,000 votes in less than a day.
A lot of people thought they looked great. In the comments, many people liked how much work went into making such a detailed painting. Also, some people were impress with the design that they wanted to start making Japanese ink paintings of their own, too.
This painting is impressive, but it isn’t the only piece of art Pokemon fans have made in the last few days. If you look at the work of another gamer, he did retro art for Fuecoco after he revealed it a few days ago. While waiting for more information about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, more fan art based on the game is likely to appear on Reddit.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet set to come out for the Nintendo Switch in late 2022.
