Fake IAS, bogus IPS, bogus standing councils, bogus police officers, and government officials have been caught in Kolkata since June. This time the fake police officer was seen again.

The Police said the Regent Park Traffic Guard in South Kolkata saw two unhelmeted riders on a bike near the Taliganj tram depot on Tuesday afternoon. Then, he stopped them and asked for their identity.

However, when the sergeant asked the biker about the helmet, he replied that his name was Rajiv Chakraborty. He is an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Kolkata Police and working in the intelligence department.

Therefore, the sergeant suspects him and wants to see his identity card. He then shows the identity card of the Calcutta Police Enrollment Committee. It has the logo of Calcutta Police. Below is the fake signature of a former head of Kolkata Police.

However, the traffic sergeant realized that it is not real. Then appropriate action is taken. But, Rajeev’s partner was released. Rajib was handed over to Regent Park Police station.

At the same time, Police arrested him on charges of forgery. It is learned that he is a resident of Ramohan Banerjee Road in Baranagar in the northern suburbs. He also introduced himself as a police officer to the residents of the area.

Meanwhile, attempts are being made to determine whether the people of Kolkata or its environs were branded as policemen. We will also search his actual house, Police said.
