The Astrologer is a natural class choice for any aspiring sorcerer. Still, relatively little armor and equipment are suitable for the build, especially in the early game. 

So, here’s a quick rundown of the best Astrologer armor in Elden Ring, so you know what to look for.

Best Armor for Astrologer Builds in Elden Ring

The first thing you should know about Astrologer armor in Elden Ring is that there isn’t many armors sets explicitly designed for Astrologers/magic builds in the early game. 

One thing to remember when it comes to armor in Elden Ring is that armor stats aren’t significant in general, let alone for an Astrologer/magic build. 

After all, your goal isn’t to take any damage at all but to evade oncoming strikes and retaliate with a high-damage blow.

You are still free to wear any armor set you discover in the game as an Astrologer. 

If you’re new to Souls-style games, don’t be fooled into thinking that you can’t equip armor sets that look to be better suited to strength/dexterity. 

You certainly can. To dodge/roll effectively, make sure your weight does not exceed the threshold. Light Armor components are better for Intelligence builds in general. 

But you can mix in some heavier pieces as long as the weight doesn’t hinder you from rolling quickly.

In all honesty, during your first 20 or so hours with the game as a magic build, the regular Astrologer set is all you’ll need. 

Changing Elden Ring armor sets is more of an aesthetic decision than a tactical one most of the time.

Best Armor Builds for Astrologer 

There is greater armor available later in the game than the standard Astrologer Cloak.
