Chagrin Falls Pumpkin Rolls Tuesday Night.
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio – Hundreds of pumpkins fell down Main Street at Chagrin Halls Tuesday night.
Chagrin Falls High School seniors dropped the pumpkins atop Grove Hill for the annual pumpkin roll. Dozens of students also slid down the hill of pulverized pulp and slimy seeds on sleds.
As has become the custom in recent years, the street was barricaded and the police were on the scene. The excitement ended before midnight.
The Chagrin Falls Pumpkin Roll started as a senior class joke in 1969 and has become a Halloween rite of passage for the village’s high school students.
