Changes in Digimon Development Teams: Development hell is what comes to mind when you think about Digimon Survive. It has promised and then put on hold a lot, and it has put back again each time. So, this new development doesn’t come as a surprise. At the very least, there’s some new information about Digimon Survive that we didn’t know before.
Digimon Survive was first announced in 2018. It kept getting pushed back year after year. Put it back until 2019, 2021, and 2022. There’s no guarantee that Digimon Survive will push back again. This writing still set for 2022, but history seems to show that it will.
Digimon Survive was supposed to come out in 2022, but it doesn’t look like that will happen after the most recent update at Digimon Con 2022. Digimon Survive’s producer, Kazumasa Habu, said that the game’s development moved from Witchcraft to Hyde.
Hyde has made games like Rune Factory 5, Olympia Soiree, Code Realize, and Root Letter. The development of Digimon Survive doesn’t restart as it did with Metroid Prime 4, but Habu says that it needs a lot of “rework” and will be a little “longer.” This is important to note.
Changes in Digimon Development Teams
Habu also revealed a lot of new information, mechanics, and features about Digimon Survive that may be good news for fans. There are 10 Digimon units that each player can control in battle; they use SP to evolve.
New Digimon can add to the game, but there is a lot of negotiation and social interaction involved in that. Everyone who plays will go through a 12-chapter story, but after Chapter 8, everything will be different because of the divided storyline.
It looks like Digimon Survive has four endings, with the ones that have named Morality, Harmony, and Rage being the only ones that have been named so far. The final story path has not named, and it will take about 40 hours to finish one route. It takes about 80 to 100 hours to play through all the routes, endgame content and more, says Habu.
The game has 113 Digimon, which is in line with everything that has revealed so far. There will be karma points in Digimon Survive that will change based on dialogue and Digi solutions.
All evolutions will be impossible to get in one playthrough. Another thing: There will also be a New Game Plus, new dungeons and equipment in NG+, some voice acting, and no multiplayer. There will also be four levels of difficulty: very easy, easy, normal, and hard.
Digimon Survive made for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the Switch, and Xbox 360.
