There’s not a Chrono Trigger 2 launch date. Square first released a game from the Chrono series with Chrono Cross in 1999.

However, except for a un canon-related side-story Radical Dreamers, and a sequel called Chrono Cross, the series was not active for a considerable period.
The most gamers can look forward to is the possibility of a Chrono Cross remaster that is in the same vein as Legend of Mana and SaGa Frontier.
There’s a reason why the Chrono franchise is among several IPs that Square Enix refuses to take on, regardless of fans’ outcries.
The company does not even acknowledge this, Parasite Eve, and Xenogears due to reasons that aren’t clear.
Of course, since it an action game with an entire story centered on time travel. There plenty of locations to go to in Chrono Trigger 2 to explore.
Lavos has eliminated and finally defeated in Chrono Cross; however, we can go back to the original world for the continuing adventure that follows Crono, Lucca, Marle, and the other characters.
On what platforms does it launch?
If Square Enix has not indicated its intention to make any changes to this series of games, we don’t think Chrono Trigger 2 will ever launch for any platform.
But, in the future, it could decide by new management to tap into these properties. What platform they’ll end up on is anybody’s guess. They could be on the scene in a year or 20 years in the future.
