Covid-19 vaccine registration for the 18-44 age group begins today.

Covid-19 vaccine registration: Those in 18-44 years can register for Covid-19 vaccination from April 28; the registrations will open at 4.00 pm.

Those in the 18-44 age group can register starting April 28; Registration will open from 4:00 pm. You can log in to the Co-WIN portal using the link http://www.cowin.gov.in and click on the “Register / Log In Yourself” tab to register for the COVID-19 vaccine. Alternatively, you can also register for vaccination using the Aarogya Setu app.

Online registration for covid vaccine

The Indian government declared that registration for vaccination between the ages of 18 and 45 would begin through the Cowin and Aarogya Setu apps at 12 am on April 28. However, people were disappointed to find that they had not yet opened the registry.

Can I book my vaccination appointment for April 28?

No. The link is open for registration only. Vaccination appointments or schedules will be available starting May 1.

Can I get vaccinated without an appointment?

The government says citizens between the ages of 18 and 44 must register and schedule appointments online before vaccination. Currently, on-site or walk-in facility registration is not allowed in private hospitals for the 18-44 age group.

Will I have an appointment after May 1?

From May 1, state governments and private hospitals will source 50 percent of total doses directly from the open market to vaccinate the 18-44 age group. The availability of spaces will depend on the availability of doses.

Due to limited doses, several states will have their priority groups within the 18-44 age group. This status-specific information will soon be reflected in Co-win when you can schedule appointments.

Is there a registration fee?

No, there is no registration fee.

How many people can register on the Co-WIN portal through a mobile phone number?

Up to 4 people can be registered for vaccination using the same mobile number.

Can I register for vaccination without an Aadhaar card?

Yes, you can register on the Co-WIN portal using any of the following identification tests: Aadhaar card; Driver’s license; Pan card; Passport; Pension savings book; NPR smart card; and Voter Identification (EPIC).

Is vaccination free at all vaccination centers?

Currently, vaccination is free in government hospitals and is charged at INR 250 in private hospitals for citizens aged 45 and over. It will cease to exist as of May 1, and even those over 45 will have to pay in private facilities the cost set by the private hospital.

For people between 18 and 44 years old, States will announce the policy regarding payment. Most states have announced that they will offer it for free at government centers.

However, at private vaccination sites, the cost will be decided by private hospitals, and you can see the price of each vaccine at the time of booking.

Can I check the price of the vaccine?

Yes. The System will show the price from May 1, 2021. It will also show the vaccine name and the name of the vaccination center when scheduling an appointment.

Can I choose the vaccine?

Yes. The SystemSystem will show the vaccine that is being administered at each vaccination center when scheduling an appointment. Citizens can choose the vaccination center according to their choice of vaccine to be issued. 

However, the option will not be available on government premises.

What are the options if one citizen is 45 or older and another is 18 or older?

If one citizen is 45 years old or older and another citizen is between 18 and 44 years old and wants to schedule a combined appointment, only paid private vaccination centers or vaccination centers will be available according to state policy. 

However, some hospitals serving people 45 and older may not allow appointments for younger people. In that case, you can make reservations one by one.
