A police chief from the Central Reserve Force (CRPF) was killed in an encounter that erupted with militants in the Malabagh area of Srinagar on Thursday night. The agent was identified as Kuldeep Urwan, 38.
The forces killed a militant in the encounter. His body was recovered with an AK rifle. The murdered militant has yet to be identified.
