Developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 Comment on Steam Deck: Steam Deck’s release date is fast approaching. Steam Deck’s launch date has quickly getting closer. The three SKUs in the Steam Deck scheduled to available for purchase on Feb. 25 and delivery shortly.
Of course, only those who have reservations can purchase the Steam Deck. All others will need to wait until Q2 at most. However, the first reviews of the Steam Deck appear, and then they are very positive.
For instance, Larian Studios, developer of Baldur’s Gate 3 as well as Baldur’s Gate 3 and the Divinity: Original Sin series and believes that Steam Deck will do “very well.”
Baldur’s Gate 3game director Swen Vincke recently spoke to PCGamesN about The Steam Deck.
The publication demanded Vincke what his thoughts on the Steam Deck were and how the games of Larian were playing on the portable console. Generally speaking, Vincke states that he’s the “big enthusiast” of Steam Deck.
The console handheld showcased at Larian’s recent Baldur’s Gate 3 Panel from Hell event. Baldur’s Gate 3 was also featured in a new Steam Deck trailer.
If you’re wondering if Larian will support this Steam Deck fully, the studio is already moving ahead with the development process.

Developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 Comment on Steam Deck
Vincke states the games Divinity Original Sin and Divinity Sin: Original Sin 2 “play superbly” with Steam Deck. Steam Deck. Vincke even suggests Steam Deck players go back to play games over the console since they play very well.
At the moment, however, both games list as “Playable” via the verification system of Valve. They may be accept for a “Verified” checkmark later down the road, but no confirmation of that as of right now.
Concerning Baldur’s Gate 3, that’s an entirely different matter. Fans of Larian’s work are aware that Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently in Early Access and is otherwise actively being developed. This isn’t exactly conducive to certify to release on Steam Deck by Valve’s verification process.
However, as was previously reported, Baldur’s Gate 3 was advertised as a Stream Deck. It’s like a logical progression.
Baldur’s Gate 3 development is moving forward at a steady speed. In the Panel from Hell event, Larian said that the game would shortly be introducing Dungeons and Dragons. A well-known Barbarian class, into the game. The exact release date of Baldur’s Gate 3 has not yet been confirmed.
