Flipkart to Launch Nokia Audio Products in India
Nokia will launch a new audio product in India on April 5 on Flipkart. According to the Nokia Audio Store on the e-commerce platform, the audio device will have technology that is “designed to deliver pure sound.” It also suggests that the product can be used “in the rain”, “in crowded places”, “during exercise” and “playing”. These advances are accompanied by videos that suggest that the Finnish company may launch wireless stereo headphones (TWS). Interestingly, this launch is three days before another event that Nokia’s licensee HMD Global recently confirmed.
According to Nokia Audio Store microsite On Flipkart, Nokia may release a pair of TWS headphones. The trailers, which include some photos and videos, hint at various features of the upcoming audio product. In addition, there is a small questionnaire on the product that later clarifies that the headphones can have an IPX7 rating for water resistance and can be used “in the rain”.
Nokia’s audio product is also said to be effective “in crowded places,” suggesting that they may come with active noise cancellation (ANC). Other suggestions include their use “during exercise,” a signal for a secure fit so they don’t fall off while exercising, and “games” that essentially cause low latency.
Recently, citing sources, a report stated that Nokia will soon launch Bluetooth neckband headsets in India via Flipkart. The headphones will reportedly come with Bluetooth 5.1 support and Qualcomm’s aptX HD audio technology. They are also tilted to feature fast charging that allows the device to deliver 9 hours of playtime in 10 minutes of charging. The device is expected to be offered in at least three color options, black, blue, and gold. Both audio products are likely to be released on the same day.
As mentioned, Nokia’s licensee HMD Global also sent out invitations to the media for a launch event on April 8. The company is expected to launch the X-series and G-series smartphones.
This is not the first time that Flipkart will launch Nokia products as an exclusive partner in India as it previously brought Nokia air conditioners, Nokia PureBook X14 laptop, Nokia 65 inch 4K LED smart Android TV, and Nokia Media Streamer.
