As the number of cases of Covid-19 declines in Karnataka State Health Minister Sudhakar K on Wednesday (February 23) advised that all private and government hospitals within the state have been directed to stop the precautionary Covid-19 tests for patients who are symptomatic before hospitalization, surgery scans, and other medical procedures.

“This includes patients who were previously Covid-19 positive but who have since recovered and were transferred to the earlier non-Covid unit for ongoing treatments,” said the letter which the Minister posted on Twitter.
The letter also advised that patients with symptoms will continue to be tested or isolated and managed according to the current guidelines.
Today the doctor Sudhakar K said, “Karnataka has reached 10 crores Covid vaccine doses in the last day.”
Dr. Sudhakar stated that to reach this landmark, the state had to wait for an entire year and 39 consecutive days.
He also noted that the state had achieved 100 percent of the vaccination of Covid-19’s first dose.
Covid-19 vaccine and 93% for the amount that followed the Covid-19 vaccine.
The state health minister felicitated the health workers and the district administration for this achievement.
In the meantime, India recorded 15,102 new cases of Covid-19 and 278 deaths over the past 24 hours, according to information published from the Ministry of Health on Wednesday (February 23rd, 2022).
Karnataka registered six67 brand-new Covid cases, compared to 1,674 discharges, 21 deaths recorded on Wednesday against seventy cases and 1,682 releases, and 29 deaths on the previous day.
The number of inactive Covid cases in the state was 9,378. The positivity rate was 0.91 percent, and the death rate stood at 3.14 percent.
The number of newly filed Covid instances in Bengaluru Urban came down to 368 out of 849 discharges, with 15 new deaths. Active was at 4,759.
The state’s positive rate was at 0.91 percent, against 1.74 percent the previous day, while the recovery rate was 98.74 percent.
757 patients are being treated at hospitals throughout the state.
