Lost Ark is Adding a Whole New Server Region: Thousands of Lost Ark players were stranded in waits that ran for more than an hour throughout the weekend. So Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG announced. That they would be working all hours of the day to create an entirely new server area in Europe.
Lost Ark is the second most played game. This MMO action RPG launch with an early access and pre-sales launch that attracted more than half a million players within one day. As of the time the game launched on Friday, it immediately encountered issues.
Despite all the glitches, the continual increase in people who want to play the no-cost game hasn’t stopped. The most famous peak concurrently registered the staggering 1.32 million players navigating Artesia this weekend.
According to a press release by the Lost Ark website, due to the game’s structure, Smilegate can’t just add servers. Instead, it must set up an entirely new area of servers. The exact amount not mentioned in the announcement, but existing regions span between seven to 19 servers, and we’re expecting the same thing for this new one.
It will be a completely new region, totally separate from Central Europe, and thus it won’t have cross-regional game access. Therefore, players’ Royal Crystal and Silver balances from the Central Europe region won’t be available in the new region.
This new area create to be a place for those who haven’t yet created a character or aren’t in a position to commit to staying with an account on the current server.
People who wish to start a new game in this new area should hold off before claiming all “per account” items. Such as those with the Additional the Founder’s Pack Redeem.
Although this will help with servers’ congestion, players should expect to see the long queue times persist until everything is correctly set up, which could take time even though both organizations are working feverishly to bring the new region up and running.
Amazon and Smilegate have already rolled out some rewards to reward players for their rough start to the game. However, as a further symbol of the “thank you very much for being patient” gesture. The two companies will be giving away more items that are not tradeable.
The gift cards will be available after the new server region runs. These include two mounts, a skinning choice of the Midsummer Night’s Dream instrument, and a variety of consumables.
Any player joining the brand new European servers can avail of these gifts until the 1st of March.
The exact time for that new server area launch will release through an update once the company announces the information.
