Mario Kart 9 Announced: Mario Kart 8 is still one of the most popular games for Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch,
even though it’s an update of a game released in 2014.
Many fans have wondered if or when Nintendo would ever launch an update with its
enormous success.
It could be different this year, as the gaming analyst, Professor. Serkan Toto has speculated
that Nintendo could launch Mario Kart 9 sometime this year.

Maro Kart 9 Could Cross the Finish Line in 2022
In a GamesIndustry.biz article about gaming predictions for 2022, Toto said the following:
“I am aware Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still selling very well on the Nintendo Switch, but Mario
Kart 9 is in active development (and comes with a new twist) and Nintendo could tease it
this year.”
So it makes sense to have a brand game that is a new Mario Kart game to have “a new
twist.”
From the time of Double Dash, every game has had a different mechanic.
Double Dash had two drivers for each kart as well as Mario Kart Wii featured motion
controls, and Mario Kart 8 featured the anti-gravity sections of course tracks. Toto further
went on to say that they believe a brand new mobile game may be in the pipeline from
Nintendo that is based on one of their IPs that they have established.
The last mobile game released by the company included Mario Kart Tour in 2019.
