Patna, February 15: A low magnitude earthquake shook parts of Bihar on Monday night, although no damage was reported. According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremors measured 3.5 on the Richter scale and were felt around 9:23 p.m.
The epicenter was near the state capital, at a depth of five kilometers, he said. The tremors were mild enough to go unnoticed by a large part of the population here. However, as the news spread, social media users jumped into action and issued ‘stay safe’ messages.
“Tremors were felt in Patna. I wish everyone safety and I urge you to be vigilant, take safety precautions and move to safe open spaces if necessary,” opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav tweeted.
