Mod Components in Destiny 2: Weapons and armor are the most important thing to get right in Destiny 2. Using the right weapon or the right piece of armor for a given situation is often just as crucial to getting through a boss fight or a crucible fight.
But in addition to choosing the correct weapon or armor, it is equally important to upgrade that piece of gear with a modification.
Mods in Destiny 2 come in different forms. Some are for weapons only, and some are only for specific armor pieces.
But to get any of these mods, you must buy them with one of Destiny’s many currency forms: Mod Components. Here’s how to get these components and where you can spend them.
How to Get Mod Components in Destiny 2?
There is only one way to get Mod Components in Destiny 2. So head to the Tower and head to the Gunsmith, Banshee-44.
Here, Banshee will offer you a set of four daily rewards, as well as additional rewards. Completing each daily reward will give you XP, an Upgrade Core, and, our possession of prizes, two components mod.
Doing the additional rewards will only reward you with one Mod Component each. But remember that you can have nine rewards from a vendor at a time. So it means you can get a total of 13 Mod Components to complete them all.
Where to spend it?
Mod Components can be spent in two separate locations on the Tower. One is where you got them in the first place, in the gunsmith.
The other is with Ada-1 on the left side of the Tower map. Both providers offer two modifications for sale. The mods are under the Material exchange tab, and you can purchase each with 10 mod components.
Please note that these mods will rotate daily at the daily reset time. So if you see a mod that you want, remember to pick it up sooner rather than later before it disappears.
However, this is all about how you can get Mod Components in Destiny 2. If this guide helps you don’t forget to share this content with your friends.
