Nintendo Is Developing Mario Kart 9 According to a Leaker:  Many Mario Kart players were hoping to see a brand new game within the series to reveal during the most recent Nintendo Direct. Nintendo instead declared that the latest Mario Kart game within the series would receive 48 new tracks in a new DLC. 

Many fans were not happy about this. However, there is a leak to provide more details.

The Mario Kart 9 hype train appeared to rapidly slow down following an event called the Nintendo Direct on the 9th of February because Nintendo did not mention an upcoming entry in the series. 

Many fans believed this would be the case. Following various reports suggesting that Mario Kart 9 was going to announce at the event.

Instead of a brand new title, Nintendo has announced Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will get 48 brand new tracks. 

The company also announced they will release the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will available in six phases through 2023. The first wave features Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii, Choco Mountain from Mario Kart 64, Tokyo Blur from Mario Kart Tour, and five additional tracks that are not yet known.

Many gamers left with an impression Mario Kart 9 was never even develop. But the famed Nintendo leaker Zippo says otherwise. 

Zippo asserts that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass develop exclusively in the hands of Bandai Namco while a new Mario Kart game is in development. Zippo is also claiming that they will provide more details regarding the matter soon.

This might mean that reports containing Mario Kart 9 could completely accurate. Certain rumors provided information on possible gameplay changes for the sequel. 

A few examples are the characters of other franchises such as Star Fox, Pikmin, The Legend of Zelda, and Kid Icarus add to the roster and coins being eliminated, with smaller and large box sizes and are thought to have more robust and less influential objects, and players having only one item slot.

Although this is a good sign for a brand new Mario Kart game. It’s not likely that it will announce until the entirety of the DLC available for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe release. 

For now, players can take advantage of the Booster Course Pass DLC for no cost online. Since players do not have to purchase the DLC to play the new tracks online multiplayer.
