Speaking to the media, Nitin Gadkari said: “We are manufacturing 81 percent of lithium-ion batteries in India. My ministry took the initiative today to obtain an alternative to lithium-ion. All government laboratories they are conducting research. developing hydrogen fuel cells. “
On the rise in fuel prices, Gadkari said: “My suggestion is that this is the time for the country to go for alternative fuels. I am already spreading electricity as fuel because India has a surplus of electricity.”

Gasoline and diesel prices rose for the seventh day in a row on Monday as a rebound in international oil prices pushed retail rates in India to new highs.
The price of gasoline increased by 26 paise per liter and diesel by 29 paise, according to a price notice from state fuel retailers.
This pushed retail rates, which differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local sales tax or VAT and transportation charges, to their highest level.
