North Bengal was Shaken by the Earthquake Yesterday
The quake affected several districts in North Bengal. Residents of Kochbihar, Alipurduar, Siliguri, Dui Dinajpur, and Maldaha felt the tremor around 8:50 pm on Monday. The epicenter was reported below the ground, however; no tsunami alert was issued.
The epicenter was reported at 4.2 on the Richter scale. Vibration is felt for 6 to 8 seconds. Naturally, panic engulfed the residents of North Bengal. Residents of multi-story houses came down to the streets. Practically a tumultuous situation is created. Although no casualties have been reported so far. It is learned that no casualties were reported. According to sources, tremors were also felt in Bihar, Assam, and Sikkim.
