Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a digital rally on Friday (February 4, 2022) in the
poll-bound state of Uttar Pradesh.
In a rally in support of Uttar Pradesh, Modi will speak digitally to assembly members from
districts like Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, and Hapur, the Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) declared.
Then, on Twitter on Friday night, PM Modi declared, “The way the people of Uttar Pradesh
have shown their affection for the BJP by supporting progress, it always motivates us to
work towards the growth in the State. Tomorrow, at 1.30 pm, I will be able to address
voters in Meerut, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Hapur, and Noida.”
It will be the premier’s second rally on the internet after the first held on January 31.
According to sources, PM Modi might also address the political rally digitally in Punjab in the
future.
The virtual rally of the PM in Uttarakhand was canceled because of bad weather.
However, the inaugural virtual gathering held by prime minister Narendra Modi in
Uttarakhand, scheduled to be held early on Friday, was delayed due to the weather,
announced officials from the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday.
“Keeping the safety of people who would come to attend this virtual rally in mind, the party
decided to cancel the rally,” stated an official statement by the BJP.
The Prime Minister’s online address could have been a part of different constituencies of
Uttarakhand, which included Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, and Pithoragarh.
The first phase of the election for the assembly for Uttar Pradesh is on February 10, while
the third and second phases will be on February 14 and 20.
Most Western Uttar Pradesh constituencies would go to the polls during the initial three
phases.
The state’s elections will be conducted in seven steps.
The Election Commission has not permitted large-scale physical rallies, and only meetings
with a maximum of 1,000 participants are allowed.
