PM Modi will visit Assam today to launch several development projects

PM Narendra Modi is going to Assam today, where he will lay the foundation for many new projects.

During the “Peace, Unity, and Development Rally,” the Prime Minister will speak at Diphu, a town in Karbi Anglong District, at around 11 am.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for several projects in the education field during the event.

A veterinary college, a university, and an agricultural college will also be built. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for them (Kolonga, West Karbi Anglong). These projects, worth more than 500 crores, will help people learn new skills and find jobs in the area.

He will also lay the foundation stone for more than 2,950 Amrit Sarovar projects during the event. It will cost the state about 1,150 crores to build these Amrit Sarovar over the next few years.

When the Prime Minister arrives in Dibrugarh around 1:45 pm, he will open the Dibrugarh Cancer Hospital and give it to the country.

In the afternoon, he will go to Khanikar ground in Dibrugarh, where he will dedicate six more cancer hospitals to the country and lay the foundation stone for seven new cancer hospitals built.

Dibrugarh is home to the Assam Cancer Care Foundation, which is a joint venture between the government of Assam and the Tata Trusts. It is working on a project to build the most affordable cancer care network in South Asia. There are 17 cancer care hospitals in the state of Assam.
