PS Cards are being phased out in the United Kingdom.

PS Cards: PS Now is Sony’s game subscription service, allowing gamers to access a collection of titles for $9.99 per month.

Some have viewed PS Now as a subpar alternative to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass.

A rumor regarding the service’s future report: these rumors are beginning to seem plausible since PS Now cards are being removed across the UK.

Is This the Beginning of the End for PS Now

UK Video game store GAME has sent a note to all its store managers, telling them that they’ve got until January 19th to eliminate the entire collection of PS Now cards from their respective stores.

The cards will not sold in GAME stores in the coming week. There’s no reason for the removal order, but many speculate that it could do with Sony’s suspected Game Pass competitor, Spartacus.

As per Bloomberg, Spartacus brings together PlayStation Plus and PS Now and has three levels. PlayStation Plus will exist as the first stage.

The second will feature PS4 and PS5 games, while the third will have games available on PS1, PS2 PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP, along with extended demos.

This rumor never came to fruition. However, this latest news concerning PS Now may confirm it.
