Sol Cresta is getting a physical release: In the past, PlatinumGames showed off a brand-new game in the arcade shooter series called Sol Cresta. The game announced on April Fools day. Sol Cresta‘s announcement was not a prank and will release to different platforms.
Like the other games from the Crestaseries, it will be a space shooter classic arcade game where players will pilot three spacecraft as they battle against intergalactic foes using a variety of available weapons.
The game will conclude the trilogy of games that began in 1980, with the final game released more than 36 years back.
While development appeared to proceed smoothly, PlatinumGames announced Sol Cresta‘s delay that forced it to the end of the year.
The delay could have worth it, considering that PlatinumGames later announced. That the game would launch in the coming months. The announcement came in a Livestream, highlighting enhancements and brand new content for Sol Cresta.
PlatinumGames recently announced a second item that will please fans: a physical version.
Sol Cresta is getting a physical release
It was thought the possibility that Sol Cresta‘s launch later this month would be exclusively digital because it’s smaller and less of a space shooter, which is arcade-like.
However, because of Limited Run Games, this new game will make available in a unique physical format. The physical release will public in a Standard and Collector’s edition. Available for a limited time and closing on March 20th.
What’s inside the Limited Run Games’ Collector’s Edition for Sol Cresta was revealed in an email. The tweet featured a unique box with the three main characters. A pin made of the enamel of the game’s logo, and a set of medals.
The Collector’s Edition comes with the metal model Sol Cresta‘s Spaceship, a two-disc soundtrack, three stands made of acrylic, and some cards of art.
Even a miniature arcade cabinet has an LCD screen for video, but it only plays videos.
It’s important to know that even though this Collector’s Edition of Sol Cresta is available on each Switch and PS4 platform, there’s the PC version not available as an alternative.
The physical version expect to cost around USD 49.99. While the collector’s edition priced more expensive at USD 129.99.
The game in both versions comes pre-loaded and includes the Dramatic DLC. Which will release shortly after the launch. Meaning that players will not have to purchase additional games on top of the physical edition.
Sol Cresta will be available on February 22nd to PC, PlayStation 4, and Switch.
