A BJP worker was found dead in Kolkata this morning, just before Union Home Minister Amit Shah was to visit.
Arjun Chowrasia, a member of the BJP’s youth wing, was found dead near his home in north Kolkata. He was found hanging in an old building that had been left behind. The BJP says that Trinamool Congress members killed him. The Trinamool Congress strongly denies this, but the BJP says it is true.

“Arjun Chowrasia, 27, a Vice President of the BJYM Mondal in North Kolkata, was brutally killed and hanged.
This killing of opposition political workers regularly shows that democracy has gone away in WB. In the last year, 57 people from the BJP were killed. The TMC is killing humanity! “In a tweet, the BJP’s Bengal branch said that they would do something about it.
People say that Amit Shah, who is on a two-day trip to West Bengal, will visit Arjun Chowrasia’s house today.
People in the BJP said they were canceling all events for Amit Shah because he had died. It’s said that the Home Minister asked his party not to greet him at the airport.
“He did a good job at the party. Our friend died this morning, “Samik Bhattacharya, a spokesman for the state BJP, said, according to news agency PTI.
On the BJP’s claim that someone was killed, Trinamool MP Santanu Sen said: “The accusations against us are not true. Let the police look into this.”
Amit Shah is in Kolkata for the first time since the BJP lost the election in Bengal last year so he will meet with people.
