According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclone is prevailing in the North West Bay of Bengal. Therefore, depression will form in the next 24 hours in the Bay of Bengal and nearby areas. In the next 24 hours, it will become stronger and move towards northwest Orissa.
According to the weather department, the rain will start in several areas in West Bengal due to the cyclone. The cyclone impact could lead to the western districts of Artha, South 24 Parganas, West Midnapore, Jhargra, Purulia, and Bankura.

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon winds will enter the whole of West Bengal in the next 48 hours. The effect will be light to moderate, heavy rain in some places. However, heavy rainfall will start in all the districts by June 14, 2021.
Cyclone Alert in West Bengal and Odisha
