UPSC Allows Exam Centre Change: Window Opens on July 7 | How to Apply on upsconline.nic.in, Terms And Conditions

2020 2020 Change Request from UPSC Exam Center: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) opened its window on Wednesday and allowed candidates running for the next preliminary civil service exam to change the location of its test center in light of the pandemic and blocking of the coronavirus. The UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2020 is scheduled to take place on October 4.

Taking into account a large number of candidates for the (preliminary) examination of civil services, 2020 (including the (preliminary) examination of the Indian Forest Service, 2020) and the requests received from candidates to change their centers, the Commission has decided to give them a chance to present their revised site choice, ”the UPSC released a statement today.

The window to change the test center will be available online in two phases: first, from July 7 to 13 until 6 p.m. and July 20-24 until 6 p.m. Candidates who wish to review their choice of centers can do so by visiting the UPSC website, i.e. upsconline.nic.in.

The application will be considered depending on the examination centers’ enhanced ability to accommodate more candidates, according to the statement.

Here are some terms and conditions for the UPSC center change application:

1. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, that is, those who apply first will be assigned new priority seats.

2. Once the capacity of a particular center is met, it will freeze. Candidates must choose a different center from the remaining list.

3. The request to change the examination center will be attended only during the stipulated window time. Candidates cannot make any additional requests.

4. UPSC has also allowed candidates to withdraw the application for the exam. Once withdrawn, candidates cannot reapply for the test “under any circumstances.”

Step 2: Select the link to withdraw the request

Step 3: Confirm the removal of the test application

Step 4: Once completed, you cannot reapply.
