Vaccinate Entire Delhi in 3 Months If Full Freedom is Given: CM Kejriwal
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in an exclusive conversation with India TV on Sunday said that they can vaccinate the whole of Delhi in 3 months as long as the Center gives them complete freedom.
Speaking to India TV during Swasthya Sammelan, Kejriwal said that some experts believe that there may be a strain of Covid-19 that is spreading too fast as the increase in cases in Delhi is a concern.
“We have to prepare for our final limit … the lockdown will only be imposed on one condition if we realize that hospitals are falling short or the death rate is increasing,” he said.
“Hospitals should not fall short of ICU beds, ventilators, oxygen. This should be our concern. Proper hospital management must be followed,” he added.
“I appeal to the people if you are an asymptomatic Covid-19 patient, please do not admit him to hospitals. Please follow isolation at home, so that hospitals do not run out of beds for critically ill patients,” Kejriwal said.
“Our goal is to achieve the maximum vaccination that we can,” he mentioned.

Kejriwal said he understands the problems of those whose businesses are affected, but the restrictions are also important to save lives and control the spread of the virus.
He urged the Center to reduce or stop the export of vaccines and speed up the process of making jabs.
On the stock of vaccines in the national capital, Kejriwal said that from now on they have injections left for the next 7 to 10 days.
Kejriwal concluded by saying, “At present, the situation is under control in Delhi. Only experts can clarify for us when we will get rid of this pandemic, but it can turn like a viral fever if everyone is vaccinated.”
