Valve has announced a spin-off game: In the history of video games. The Portal series is one of the most famous that didn’t work out. People still love the original game even today. That one of the games that made Valve famous is coming back in the form of a new spin-off. Players will be able to go back in time to the glory days of Aperture Science with a new game called Aperture Desk Job.
GLaDOS, the AI that Aperture Science made, is the main bad guy in both Portal and Portal 2. GLaDOS usually overshadow the company. This made even more complicated because, by the time both games make, Aperture Science mainly had stopped working. GLaDOS was the only employee left.
The first game gave gamers a rough idea of how Aperture Science fell and how GLaDOS rose to power. It was only in Portal 2 that more information came out about GLaDOS’s backstory and how Aperture Science founder Cave Johnson went down.
Now, it looks like Aperture Desk Job, a free playable short made for Valve’s new Steam Deck mobile PC, will give players even more information about how this scientific research company went wrong.

However, this new game is free and takes place in the same universe as both the Half-Life and Portal series, which may be reassuring. Fans can see some of what they can expect from this game in a short trailer. There are talking robots, weird inventions, a lot of dark humor, and explosions.
It looks like Aperture Desk Job will be a new twist on the walking simulator. Instead of walking around, gamers will be sitting at a desk, so they can’t get away from what Aperture Science has planned for them.
Aperture Desk Job said to have made to show off the new Steam Deck. Part of the demo will be a walk-through of the device’s controls. Making it another Valve tech demo with a twist. This game might be similar to Half-Life: Alyx, even though it’s only a few hours long.
