The Indian Meteorology Department has forecast extremely heavy isolated rains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today. Isolated very heavy rains are expected over the West Bengal Ganges today, over Jharkhand on July 29-30, over Chhattisgarh on July 30 and over eastern Madhya Pradesh on July 31.
Widespread rains over eastern Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh are also likely to continue through August 1. The intensity of the rains is likely to increase from July 30. Extremely heavy isolated rains are likely on August 1 over western Madhya Pradesh.
Rather widespread to widespread rainfall is highly likely over Konkan and Goa, and the Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra until 1 August.
