3 cops wounded by hand grenade in Pakistan: According to media reports quoting police authorities, a hand grenade explosion near the Bilitang police station in the Kohat region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province wounded at least three police officers.
According to Pakistan‘s local media source, The Nation, unidentified individuals used a hand grenade device to assault the police station. Three people working at the police station seriously hurt during the explosion.
According to The Nation, the wounded transferred to the “District Hospital” for medical attention. It also said that no arrests had made as of yet.
Earlier on Tuesday, an explosion in Swat’s Bara Bandai neighborhood claimed the lives of at least five individuals. Including a member of the peace committee, two police officers, and his security guards.
According to ARY News, Idrees Khan, a member of the peace committee and a former chairman of the Kabal Tehsil, Swat, Village Defense Council (Aman Committee), was the victim of a roadside bomb strike.
Soon after the event report, security personnel rushed to the scene. And the chief minister immediately instructed the IGP to increase security in the province’s capital.
Mahmood Khan, the chief minister, requested a report from the relevant authorities in a statement, according to ARY News. As of yet, no organization has claimed ownership of the assault. However, the inquiry is in progress.
