Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party, Uttar Pradesh’s key ally, has stated that the alliance’s efforts in India’s largest state were inadequate and possibly insufficient.
Om Prakash Rajbhar, president of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party(SBSP), stated that the party would reflect on the defeat in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and work harder to communicate their message to the people.

Rajbhar said, “It is a common saying that failure indicates insufficient efforts and shortcomings.”
He said, “We couldn’t take our ideology to their homes and we will brainstorm about this and return to the people again.”
After winning the seat with 45,000 votes, Mr. Rajbhar spoke to reporters in Zahoorabad, eastern UP, on Thursday night.
The SBSP fought in the UP elections as an alliance with the Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party and won six seats.
The BJP won 255 seats in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh assembly. This is 53 more than the halfway mark for 202.
Its allies Apna Dal(S) Nishad Party, clinched 12 seats and 6.
Many expected the Samajwadi Party (of Akhilesh Yadav) to be a tough challenge to the BJP.
It won 111 constituencies. This is a far better result than in 2017, when it had only 47 seats but could not defeat the BJP.
Allies of Samajwadi Party Rashtriya Lok Dal Jayant Chaudhary won 8 seats, while SBSP took 6
The SBSP allied with BJP in 2017 and won four seats. Mr. Rajbhar’s party has pockets of influence in eastern UP primarily based on support from Other Backward Classes (OBC).
After the 2017 election results, Mr. Rajbhar was appointed a cabinet minister in Yogi Adityanath’s government.
He resigned two years later, claiming that he was being marginalized in government.
