Arabian Sea Cyclone Tauktae May Hit in the Three States.

The cyclone comes from the Abar Sagar and Lakshadweep areas. In the Arabian Sea, the low-pressure formed on Sunday said Indian Meteorological Department. Therefore, it will take the form of a cyclone, and its name is “Cyclone Tauktae.” 

The weather department already warned Maharashtra, Kerala, and Gujarat of heavy rains. Although, it has started to rain in several places.

Light to moderate rains has started in some areas, including Lakshadweep, since Friday. Kerala Government issued a red alert in five districts of Kerala on Friday due to Tawakat. 

Expert says Tawkat may hit the southern coast of India on Sunday or Monday. Kerala government has already warned its people of heavy to massive rainfall since Saturday.

However, the cyclone Taukat may primarily affect Mumbai, Goa, and Gujarat. Gujarat was warned that the cyclone could hit 18 on Tuesday. Even the hurricane could bring heavy rain to southwest Rajasthan by Wednesday. In the next 5 to 7 days, strong winds will blow in these coastal states. Depending on the location, the speed of the storm can reach 40 to 60 kilometers per hour.

In the meantime, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) deployed 53 teams to deal with the situation. Of these, NDRF officials placed 24 teams in the possible affected area. The rest of the parties have been put on hold, the administration said. The central government has ensured all possible aid to the state administrations.

But, the latest updated forecast track path of the cyclone Tauktae tracker shows it to landfall in Gujarat on 18 May.
