Babul is also leaving the post of Asansol MP as BJP

Babul Supriyo is also leaving the post of Asansol MP as BJP, likely to go to Rajya Sabha in place of Arpita.

Babul Supriyo left, not just the BJP. Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo will also resign as Asansol deputy.

After joining the Trinamool Congress, he announced his decision at the first press conference. “I will join the Trinamool Congress, which means I will follow all the rules,” Babul said.

At Asansol, I won with a BJP ticket. So I will leave the MP position. According to Trinamool (TMC) sources, Babul will resign from the post of deputy on Tuesday.

Following Babul’s resignation, the ruling party also decided on the name of a possible candidate in the by-elections of the Asansol Lok Sabha constituency. Sayoni Ghosh may be a candidate for the seat left by Babul.

On Friday, Babul joined the ranks at the hands of Abhishek Banerjee. Naturally, the question arises, will he leave the post of Asansol deputy?

In a word, Babul responds: “Of course. When I join the TMC, I will leave Asansol MP.” He said that he would fulfill the responsibility that the team gave him in the coming days.

Babul hints that his role on the bases will be clear in the next 2-3 days.

Babylon’s announcement opened up a new possibility. Rumors in the political arena, Babul may appoint a deputy for Rajya Sabha in the seat left by Arpita Ghosh.

Babul Supriya has been a deputy for the past seven years. His record as a deputy is quite enviable.

Furthermore, Babul is also known in Parliament as an eloquent leader. Due to his long tenure as Union Minister, he is also accepted outside of Bengal.

Furthermore, Babul Supriya is very well acquainted with the working method and type of government of the BJP due to his long tenure in the Union Cabinet.

So at this time, he can become a great grassroots weapon in opposition to the BJP in Parliament.

However, one more possibility is being heard. He can also become a Minister of State by participating in the by-elections in the Shantipur constituency.

Last Wednesday, Arpita Ghosh abruptly resigned as Rajya Sabha’s deputy. Since then, there have been rumors that any acceptable leader from India can turn to the Rajya Sabha on behalf of the Trinamool.

In that case, the names of Yashwant Sinha or Saket Gokhale floated. But this time, Babul has joined the Trinamool.

The possibility of him becoming a deputy for Rajya Sabha is the brightest. The image of him as a deputy has the record and the national acceptance ahead of others.

However, the party has yet to officially announce anything. Babul did not say anything officially either.
