Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo joined the Trinamool

Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo joined the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.

He joined the base camp in Kolkata on Saturday from Abhishek Banerjee. Trinamool MP Derek O’Brien was present.

According to grassroots sources, he could resign from the Lok Sabha. Instead, Babul can go to the Rajya Sabha seat left by Arpita Ghosh.

In 2014, Babul Supriya became a deputy for the first time of Asansol. He also became a minister of the Union. He was also chosen in 2019 by a wide margin.

Meanwhile, he also got the ministry. But the recent reorganization of the Union Cabinet. Babul lost the ministry at that time. At that time, the Asansol MP expressed his anger on Facebook. After that, he also left politics.

Babul left the BJP by posting on his Facebook page. In the meantime, the central leadership of the BJP tried to persuade him many times. But it was arrogant.

However, speaking with the central leadership, he said: “The party leadership has made me understand. I have also received many messages from the people of Asansol.”

Babul said that he would continue to work to improve Asansol as a deputy. He also added, “I know that the people there want me to be a deputy. Take care of all the projects that are being carried out there.”

This time Babul changed parties before the by-elections in Bhabanipur. However, he was not present at any political event or party program recently.

Additionally, he said that he would not come to Bhabanipur even though his name was on the campaign list.

But in recent months, there has been a lot of speculation about Babul’s defection.

Trinamool (TMC) leader Mamata Banerjee expressed her condolences to Babul after losing the ministry. The Asansol deputy was seen with him more than once.

Why Babul Supriyo left BJP?

But the question is why Babul left BJP. Many political experts say that people like Dilip Ghosh present as a supreme leader in BJP West Bengal.
