Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo joined the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
He joined the base camp in Kolkata on Saturday from Abhishek Banerjee. Trinamool MP Derek O’Brien was present.
According to grassroots sources, he could resign from the Lok Sabha. Instead, Babul can go to the Rajya Sabha seat left by Arpita Ghosh.
In 2014, Babul Supriya became a deputy for the first time of Asansol. He also became a minister of the Union. He was also chosen in 2019 by a wide margin.
Meanwhile, he also got the ministry. But the recent reorganization of the Union Cabinet. Babul lost the ministry at that time. At that time, the Asansol MP expressed his anger on Facebook. After that, he also left politics.

Babul said that he would continue to work to improve Asansol as a deputy. He also added, “I know that the people there want me to be a deputy. Take care of all the projects that are being carried out there.”
