Lewandowski scored his 35th league goal in a 2-2 draw against Wolfsburg, then delivered a bombshell on the last weekend of the Bundesliga season.
“It’s possible that this may be my last game for Bayern. I can’t tell for sure, but it’s possible. We need to develop the best option for both the club and myself, “He told Viaplay, a streaming provider.
Lewandowski told Sky that he has informed Bayern Munich sports director Hasan Salihamidzic that he will not extend his contract, which runs out in 2023, and that “when an offer comes, we have to look about it.”
“I have a year remaining,” the Polish striker remarked, “but we need to find the best option for both sides.”
