While the BJP has planned several events to commemorate the eight years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s NDA rule at the Centre, the saffron leadership has also laid out an effective strategy to reclaim the 144 Lok Sabha seats it lost to the opposition in the previous General Elections.
The framework for this, according to insiders, was established during a day-long meeting at the party’s headquarters in Delhi on Wednesday.
Top party officials discussed ways to popularize the NDA government’s many welfare packages and policies among the populace at the critical meeting.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the saffron party concentrated on the 144 Lok Sabha seats, where its candidates were defeated by their closest challengers.
According to the approach, top party officials and Union Ministers would tour these 144 parliamentary seats around the nation, interacting with party members and beneficiaries of different social packages.

This will be part of the party’s enormous outreach effort to commemorate the eight years of Narendra Modi’s leadership at the country’s helm.
J P Nadda, the BJP president, met with Amit Shah, BL Santosh, and other critical ministers on Wednesday to discuss the exercise, which will take place between May 30 and June 15 and the trip preparations.
According to party insiders, the seats to which Union ministers would be assigned were chosen based on the party’s organizational strength and election results.
According to the sources, representatives of the opposition parties now represent these seats in the Lok Sabha, and the BJP is relatively weak there.
According to reports, half a dozen Union ministers would visit West Bengal as part of the outreach drive, including Dharmendra Pradhan, Smriti Irani, and Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, will visit Punjab and other Union ministers. The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress now governs West Bengal, while the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party governs Punjab.
The Union ministers will spend two to three days in each state allocated. They will attend news conferences and mingle with party members and recipients of government programs.
Former BJP president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a speech at the BJP headquarters on Wednesday. At the event, all-Union ministers, Pradhan, Irani, and Kiren Rijiju, spoke.
From May 30 to June 15, the BJP will commemorate the Modi administration’s first year on “Sewa, Sushashan, and Gareeb Kalyan” (service, good governance and welfare of the poor).
The BJP declared at a recent meeting of its office-bearers in Jaipur that all Union ministers will visit various locations around the nation to commemorate the eight years of the Narendra Modi administration and collect feedback on various welfare programmes.
