Streaming giant Netflix released a new trailer for an upcoming show titled ‘Bombay Begums’. The show will revolve around 5 different women from different parts of society and their various stories of struggles, freedom, power, etc. Actresses like Pooja Bhatt, Amruta Subhash, Aadhya Anand, Plabita Borthakur, and Shahana Goswami have been tied up to play the leading roles.
Pooja Bhatt’s character has posed as a businesswoman on the show, while Shahana is a woman leading a corporate life, Amruta a bar dancer who demands respect for her in everyone’s eyes. The trailer was very quick and created a deep sense of curiosity.

Bombay Begums is written and directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. She has already been recognized for her female-centric features like ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitaare’ and ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’.
