She was born in Toronto, Canada, to a Chinese mother and a Romanian dad.
At the age of 2, she moved to England and began playing tennis three years later. Raducanu grew up in Bromley and idolized Simona Halep as well as Li Na.
She was a talented student who attended Newstead Wood School in Greater London. After achieving an A* in maths and an A in economics A-Levels, she went on to study at Oxford University.

Raducanu became a professional in 2018. She made her WTA Tour Main Draw debut at the 2021 Nottingham Open. She was a wildcard.
She was granted entry to Wimbledon Championships, June 2018 and set records.
She defeated Vitalia Diatchenko, Marketa Vondrousova, and became the youngest British woman in the third round.
After defeating Sorana Cirstea in 2002, she was also the youngest woman in Britain to reach the 16th stage of the Open Era.
Raducanu, suffering from breathing difficulties, had to withdraw in the second round of her fourth-round match with Ajla Tomljanovic, ending her championships.
Her meteoric rise was evident in her rankings. Her exploits ensured her a top-185 WTA order as she entered Wimbledon as World Number 338.
Despite Wimbledon’s defeat, the US Open has been an enormous success.
Raducanu, who is on her way to the final, has not dropped a set on her way.
