Complete Lockdown From July 3: Cities, Areas Which Are Completely Shut From Today to Fight COVID-19

Block Extension News: Two days after India officially started the second phase of the unlocking process by relaxing the restrictions, the nightly curfews that were implemented earlier, several areas are completely closed as of today. States like Assam, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Jharkhand have extended the general blockade until July 31. But there are some cities that are under a complete curfew as of today.

Panvel: The Panvel City Municipal Corporation has announced a 10-day shutdown from July 3 to July 13 after a large increase was witnessed.

Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has imposed a 10-day blockade starting today.

Ulhasnagar: The Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation announced the closure a day earlier. It is closed from July 2 to 12.

Kalyan-Dombivali is already under a full block.

Uttar Pradesh

Ballia: The Ballia district administration imposed a total closure on the city of Ballia and its surroundings amidst the detection of more than 40 cases of coronavirus in recent days. The entire city has been declared a containment zone and will be completely closed from July 3 to 10.

What does a full lock mean?

A full lock means that no movement other than essential personnel will be allowed. Essential stores will only remain operational. Milk stores will remain open.
