Covid-19 cases in India: India has recorded 3,17,532 Covid-19 cases and 491 deaths in the past 24 hours, which
brought the total death count to 4,87,693, as per the figures published from the Ministry of
Health on Thursday (January 20, 20, 2022).
The number of active cases is 19,24,051.
An increase of 93051 cases was recorded in the current Covid-19 cases in over 24 hours.
In addition, the country reported 2,23,990 recovery cases today and brought all recovered
cases to 3,58,07,029.
The active cases make up 5.03 percent of total cases, and the overall COV-19recovery rate
has slowed to 93.69 percent.
According to Union Health Ministry data, India has also registered 9,287 Omicron infections
to date.
According to data from the health ministry, there’s been a 3.63 percent rise of Omicron
instances since the beginning of this week.
Experts have said that it isn’t possible to perform genome sequencing for every sample.
However, they noted that Omicron controls current trends.
The positivity rate for the day was recorded as 16.41 percent, and the weekly rate was
recorded as 16.06 percent as per the ministry.
In addition, the total doses given to the nation under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination
program have been more than 159.67 million.
