Cyclone Asani Will Make Landfall Between Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneshwar.

According to the India Meteorological Department, a low-pressure region over the South Andaman Sea. 

It is expected to develop into an upcoming cyclone Asani by Sunday and proceed north towards India’s eastern coast.

Officials with the IMD predicted that the low-pressure region would become a depression by Saturday evening and a cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal 24 hours later. 

By May 10, it is forecast to continue north-northwest, passing into coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. 

Between May 10 and 11, Asani is expected to make landfall between Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneshwar.

The low-pressure region was over 1,000 kilometers from the Indian coast on Friday. Later today, the weather service will offer further information on its present situation.

The Cyclone Expected Affected Area

Over the following four days, forecasts predict the weather system moving at an increasing rate of knots. 

Tomorrow, it’s projected to reach 25 knots, with a top speed of 45 knots on May 10, when it’ll have turned into a cyclone.
