Actor Dia Mirza and her boyfriend Vaibhav Rekhi exchanged wedding vows in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on Monday. The couple, who began dating last year, tied the knot in the garden area of the Dia’s Bandra residence, in a ceremony attended by family and close friends, including actor Aditi Rao Hydari.
Dia Mirza looked stunning in a red sari, accessorized with a red dupatta covering her head, while the elegant groom wore white kurta pajamas paired with a beige turban.
Earlier in the day, Dia Mirza had shared a photo of her mehendi on Instagram and captioned it, writing, “Pyaar.” Aditi Rao Hydari, a relative of Vaibhav, was seen arriving at his home for the wedding a few hours ago.
The newlyweds have been largely discreet about their relationship and the wedding festivities, but their friends have been sharing photos of pre-wedding functions and parties. Since the morning, Dia’s friends have been sharing her photos from the bachelorette party she recently held. Shining in a white dress that had “Bride to be” written on it, Dia is all smiles as she poses for photos.
Photos of actor Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein in the same dress were first shared online Saturday night by superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s manager Pooja Dadlani, who appears to be related to Vaibhav, of what looked like a pre-wedding party. The images showed the couple posing with a group of close beings. Pooja had captioned the photos, writing: “Welcome to the crazy family, Dia. We love you.”
Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi reportedly met during the coronavirus-induced lockdown and got along quite well. After spending a couple of months getting to know each other, the two moved in together.
