Officials in Kodagu said that hailstorms are quite common in the district, but it was for the first time in recent years that they were concentrated in two villages of Nidtha and Ankanahalli near Shanivarsanthe of Somwarpet taluk in Kodagu district, leaving the puzzled local residents.
