Heavy rains in Mumbai break down walls: at least 12 dead.
Heavy rains caused landslides in several areas of Mumbai. Twelve people died when a wall collapsed in the chamber. As soon as the report came, the NDRF team reached the spot.

Meanwhile, the NDRF said in a statement, ‘Four to five houses have collapsed. BMC and firefighters recovered 10 bodies. Our NDRF team recovered another woman’s body. Later they reported that they had found another body.
However, fear is still that six to eight people are still trapped in the rubble. The rescue operation continues under the leadership of Commander Inspector Rahul, the NDRF said.

The BMC’s disaster response force said it received news of the incident around 6:30 am. The locals claimed that the incident took place around 1 am. At the same time, they have seen the heavy rains in Mumbai break down walls. Therefore, they have transferred injured people already to the hospital. Later two of them died.
Mumbai has witnessed heavy rains for the past two days. Meanwhile, four to five houses collapsed in separate incidents in the Vikroli area. The incident happened around 2:40 pm on Saturday.
The intensity of rain was rich from 12 noon to 2 am on Saturday. Due to which it is assuming that there is a landslide in more than one place.
