Rotten Breath Incantation In Elden Ring: Rotten Breath is one of Elden Ring‘s many Dragon Incantations, which can be unlocked through the Ritual of Dragon Communion, which can find in two different places. Many players consider it the most broken.
Incantation you can get early in the game – before General Radahn was nerfed, it was one of the few ways to take down the mega boss one-on-one.
Like all other Dragon Incantations, Rotten Breath requires Dragon Hearts to activate. As the name implies, these items are dropped by defeated Dragons, but you cannot simply go around slaughtering Elden Ring’s ancient adversaries. After all, you only require one Dragon Heart to obtain a Rotten Breath.
A Scarlet Rot-Inducing AoE Incantation: Rotten Breath
Rotten Breath is a version of Firebreath with Scarlet Rot added to it. Dragons in FromSoftware games don’t always breathe fire like in traditional fantasy.
They come in all shapes and sizes in the Elden Ring. It’s hard to kill some of the monsters, like Agheel, because they’re close to death and hard to kill.
Rotten Breath can be charged to make it last longer over a specific area. It won’t take as long to use as the Comet Azur spell when you use it again.
Scarlet Rot can’t hurt some enemies, but most bosses in the game can get it. It’s a good idea to hit a boss with Rotten Breath right away when they enter the arena.
This will make their health tick down throughout the fight, which will make it do more damage.
Get Rotten Breath Incantation
Rotten Breath and other Dragon Incantations can be found at either the Chapel of Dragon Communion or the Cathedral of Dragon Communion, where can use them.
The Cathedral is in the southwest of Caelid. The Chapel is on a small island that can only reach through Limgrave’s Coastal Cave.
There’s even a dev message at the Chapel that tells players where the Cathedral is.
As soon as you reach either the Chapel or the Cathedral, you’ll see something that looks like fire in front of a dead dragon. You should have at least one Dragon Heart in your inventory when you get to this sconce.
